Your sure identity!

Few months ago, I had several thoughts run through my mind. Thoughts of past failures, sins, errors etc. I tried coping and scaling through them, but all my efforts were fraustrated. It felt like people around weren't helping matters, and God himself had given up on me. Then a new month came, but I wasn't actually excited. Nevertheless, with so much confidence, I still went to church the following Sunday, and behaved like all was fine. I kept up with my self deceit until my roommate, who was sitting next to me during the service suddenly turned to me and said "You are Christ". Well it wasn't like I was not aware of this, but her proclamation caught me off guard. I mean, she doesn't always sound and look like someone who believes in religious issues as such. I remember her always changing topics when ever I brought up the "take Christ serious" gist.  For a fact, her words hit me hard, and made me analyse my problem. I mean, I had lost my id...

Depressed World!

It's almost natural to get worked up with life. I mean, just the mere thought that things aren't working out the way they should or the way the word of God says they would, could be extremely frustrating and depressing. I've had to promise and reassure myself so many times that I truly heard God speak on certain issues not necessarily involving myself, but involving lives around me. Yes, I'm that kindof a person. People's unsuccessful or broken lives affect me a whole lot. But notwithstanding, no matter how we feel, or how overwhelming our emotions get, we must always remember that we're the light in this depressed world. The way we speak, make decisions or even go about our daily lives should unconsciously provide solutions to the problems of the people around us. We should consciously make decisions out of a place of sincere love (for God, for men) and inner peace. Living in peace with all men, and striving never to compare ourselves with others. We all ...

A New Faith

The obedient always obey God when He first speaks. They are the ones whom God will use to make the world know Him. You really cannot talk about things that you have never experienced. Therefore, God has a process of training us. We cannot take people into the depths of God unless we have been broken ourselves. We must have a brokenness to get into the depths of God. And beautifully, " _ the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart _ "😊. If God definitely tells you to do anything, do it. But be sure it is God who is telling you🌝.

True Fast!

As interested as Christ is in our sincere commitment to Him, he's also very much concerned with our complete state of well-being. It is often said that Christianity is not a religion; man's way of reaching a higher power or state of being through his own efforts. Rather, it is a relationship that God has established with His children, with God being the aggressor and man, the beneficiary. With all these being said, is it then compulsory to fast? I mean we all most times unconsciously see fasting as an avenue to reach out to God, to manipulate Him, to get him to change his will to our favour, or simply for the sake of self righteousness. And truthfully this is wrong! We must have the right motives for fasting. It should be an exercise done in spirit and in truth as it is also a form of worship. Fasting is all about changing yourself, and not changing God. In as much as there are no commands in the New Testament that followers of Jesus are to fast, Jesus sometimes fasted, ...

Isolation!

Isolation hinders our spiritual growth by opening us up to sin, depression, selfishness and anger. Not only is it dangerous, it restricts us from advancing God’s kingdom as we separate ourselves from other people. Let us who are strong bear the failings of the weak and not thrive to please ourselves. Let's carry each others burdens, encourage one another and exercise patience with all men. We must understand that the body of Christ does not function alone, but together, as the eye cannot tell the feet; "i don't need you!". Although, there is always  a time we must be alone with God to pray. However, we should try being sensitive to know when the people need our attention just as Christ knew. Good morning and happy Sunday😂😊
May we hear Christ speaking in accents clear and still, Above the storms of passion and the murmurs of self will. Speaking to reassure, hasten and control, Speaking to make us listen. Speaking to give us grace to follow, Speaking to guide, call and draw us. Good morning ❤

A little reminder

When we feel the despair of sorrow, pain, or loss creeping into our souls and stealing our joy, the last thing we sometimes feel like doing is sitting down to study the Bible. The fraustration and grief feel too real, and reading feels too insufficient as a remedy. But this is the wonder of God's word; when we're in the midst of affliction, it is only this Book, with it's wonderful promises, standard and exalted view of God, that can give us hope, help and healing. Why? This is because God does not avoid the realities of our sufferings, but rather infuses it with purpose and meaning. Dear reader, In the midst of your affliction, may God's word quicken your crushed and despairing heart. May you see in the pages of his epistle to you, that his love is just as true and full, his rule is just as good and powerful, and his wisdom is just as perfect and right, in our times of affliction as it is in our times of prosperity. May David's comfort, be our comfort.
