How does it feel to be left on 'hold' by God?
Depressing? Fraustrating? Draining? Unproductive?
I know just how you feel in case you're there right now.
We're together my dia!
I know how useless you feel seeing people you're "better than" making progress. Not because of envy or anything, just that in your heart, you know you ought to be above your current level. You feel you're lagging behind and you have a lot to catch up with. You feel the enemy is after your soul, and the people from your father's side are possibly 'doing you' lol.
No, my love. It just might be God telling you to hold on. You might be running too fast and He needs you to slow down.
He has a plan for everyone, and in his mapping, there's a place for time.
The Bible makes it clear to us that there's a time to give and a time to refrain from giving. Also, a time to build and a time to sit back, and calculate the cost of building, before executing. For now, you might be amongst those being led to take a step back and calculate their cost.
This might not make any sense to you, because I sound so much like every 'lazy Nigerian' right now, but all I'm saying is ask God what you should do in every season, and if He's saying to you like he is to me, to wait, then do just that. Be rest assured that He's working out something.
Wait, till you hear the instruction to Go and be sure to receive directions. Be clear on the 'go' you hear though, as that word could also mean "get into fellowship/intimacy" which could be related to waiting asin having ones life on hold for a while. Though, we ought to wait on God for every decision in life, but you get the gist. And if you don't, please let me know in the comment section.
Be it in regards to your relational, financial or physical life (your health), wait on him. Receive the strength to wait, and ask daily for guidance.
Obey instructions as they come, no matter how insignificant they might sound (quite important).
Be consistent in your fellowship with the Father, because He's building a foundation in you that will last you a lifetime. Learn to reach out to every soul He brings your way, your mission for the season might be to help the very people around you at the time or share your success/failure stories with them to encourage their hearts.
Don't lose hope and faith.
Rejoice, be glad always. Speak joy into your heart even when sadness feels like a norm because the reality of a believer, is in the words of his/her mouth.
Lastly, take up an attitude of worship and gratitude, as this will help shift focus from your problem to the awesomeness of God, and somehow calm your soul.
Remember, its only those who wait on the Lord that get their strengths renewed. They are the only ones permitted to rise up as if they have eagles wings. There is also an assurance that if they choose to run, they'll not get weary, and when they walk, they won't faint.
So why the rush?
God is precise in His timing, we're the ones who are always impatient.
Try to grow in the process of your wait, so that when the miracle comes, you'll understand the reason for the delay.
Wait on the Lord dears.
Don't rush, be patient.
Love, from a fellow waiter❤️
